The Robert C Dempsey Agency began in the early 1970s by Bob Dempsey and his wife Margaret Jean. Bob gave himself to the small town of Groton by serving as town mayor, village trustee, president of the National Bank of Groton and sat on the Board of the fire department. His son, Chris Dempsey, worked for the agency and took ownership of the Robert C Dempsey Agency in 1990.
